About the Founder

Jia Mittal

Jia Mittal is a student at the Milton Academy, Massachusetts, USA. She is the Captain of the chess club at her school, a gifted writer and also a gymnast. Jia plays football, squash, and has even participated in cross-country runs. A multifarious personality, it was Jia’s varied interests that led her to found Project ExCEL, and motivates her to diversify the lives of as many kids as possible. When she is not busy with school, or cornering bishops and pawns, Jia enjoys spending her free time going on runs, practising the drums, and listening to Spanish music.
